Directions

 

From Dallas (67 miles):

Proceed west on either I-30 or I-20 through Arlington and Ft. Worth.  West of Ft. Worth I-30 merges into I-20. Continue west on I-20 until Exit 408. Turn south on FM51/TX171 towards Cleburne and Granbury.  After 2.2 miles the highway splits and you should bear to the right on FM-51 Granbury.  Another 3.0 miles will bring you to FM1708 where you will turn right.  In just under a mile you will need to turn left onto Southwinds Drive.  1/10^th of a mile more driving will get you to Mariah where you will turn left and see the “Covered Bridge”.

 

From Fort Worth (33 miles):

Proceed west on either I-30 or I-20 through Ft. Worth.  West of Ft. Worth I-30 merges into I-20. Continue west on I-20 until Exit 408. Turn south on FM51/TX171 towards Cleburne and Granbury.  After 2.2 miles the highway splits and you should bear to the right on FM-51 Granbury.  Another 3.0 miles will bring you to FM1708 where you will turn right.  In just under a mile you will need to turn left onto Southwinds Drive.  1/10^th of a mile more driving will get you to Mariah where you will turn left and see the “Covered Bridge”.

 

From Austin (219 miles):

Drive north on I-35 until the split occurs north of Hillsboro at which time you take I-35W to Ft. Worth.  Take I-20 (Abilene) west when you arrive on the south side of Ft. Worth. Continue west on I-20 until Exit 408. Turn south on FM51/TX171 towards Cleburne and Granbury.  After 2.2 miles the highway splits and you should bear to the right on FM-51 Granbury.  Another 3.0 miles will bring you to FM1708 where you will turn right.  In just under a mile you will need to turn left onto Southwinds Drive.  1/10^th of a mile more driving will get you to Mariah where you will turn left and see the “Covered Bridge”.

 

From Oklahoma City (232 miles):

Drive south on I-35 until you arrive at the split north of Denton, TX where you will take I-35W to the right towards Ft. Worth. When you approach the north side of Ft. Worth turn west on to I-820 (exit 57B).  After 13 miles merge onto I-30 west (Abilene). 6 more miles will bring you to the I-30/I-20 merger. Continue west on I-20 until Exit 408. Turn south on FM51/TX171 towards Cleburne and Granbury.  After 2.2 miles the highway splits and you should bear to the right on FM-51 Granbury.  Another 3.0 miles will bring you to FM1708 where you will turn right.  In just under a mile you will need to turn left onto Southwinds Drive.  1/10^th of a mile more driving will get you to Mariah where you will turn left and see the “Covered Bridge”.

 

From Abilene (120 miles):

Drive east on I-20 to Exit 408 (115 miles). Turn south on FM51/TX171 towards Cleburne and Granbury.  After 2.2 miles the highway splits and you should bear to the right on FM-51 Granbury.  Another 3.0 miles will bring you to FM1708 where you will turn right.  In just under a mile you will need to turn left onto Southwinds Drive.  1/10^th of a mile more driving will get you to Mariah where you will turn left and see the “Covered Bridge”.
